Once in a while Condit becomes lucky enough to collaborate with companies that have a story much richer than the average brand. Just such a client reached out to us this year after previewing our other client work at the Natural Products Expos. We were even more fortunate to win the bid over several tough competitors. Perfect Bar is a family-owned and operated nutrition bar company started from the legacy of a father. With roots in southern California, Perfect Bar is now a nationally carried brand with a backbone that emanates the wholesome, laid-back and health-minded vibes of San Diego. This new connection reminded us just how passionate we are about creating spaces where a story can blossom extraordinary life.
Goal
Like many of our growing clients, Perfect Bar came to us having outgrown their self-built exhibit. They wanted to make a splash at the 2016 Natural Product Expo West (NPEW) show, and turned to us to make that goal a reality for their new 20x30 activation space. Although an expanding brand, the family (aka the executive team) still required that the exhibit preserve the sense of warmth so prevalent in the previous booth. From a practical standpoint they also needed the new booth to be a scalable and reconfigurable build for their changing booth spaces. They would also need ample space for sampling and product display. Condit exhibit designer, Matt Wolf, took these practical needs and combined them with inviting and casual elements to create the perfect Perfect Bar environment.
Result
Matt took major cues from the surf town-like vibe so integral to Perfect Bar’s brand and vitality. Natural wood slat wall seen throughout the architecture of the booth design was inspired by the ubiquitous California surf piers. Similarly, the living succulent wall and angling pergola ceilings give the space an airy, outdoor feel. The seating areas combine warm natural tones and textures with modern lines to translate the wholesome yet fresh brand. In contrast to these more home-like touches, the large sampling counters feature bold, clean, large-format back-lit graphics that can be noticed from far down the aisle.
Value
As the exhibit designer and builder, Condit measures a client’s experience not just in show attendance or leads gained, but rather the value of an experience. Feedback we received from the Perfect Bar team leads us to believe that together we achieved just that. The space proved a unique lifestyle environment in which customer interaction was strong and meaningful.
